An updated Carnival HUB app will be ready to roll out as soon as their ships begin sailing again next month.
The new functions of Carnival’s HUB App are designed with guest safety amid the pandemic in mind. New information and features will be available on the app and Carnival has stated that the app will play a major role in the company’s cruise operations as they resume this summer.
The app was designed to enhance Carnival’s guests’ pre-cruise and onboard experience and now the new features are promised to do so even further.
Enhanced food and beverage features, booking capabilities for the spa and shore excursions, virtual queuing for onboard venues will all be available on the app along with updated health and safety information- let’s unpack.
Carnival’s HUB App was the first of its kind to enable guests to order pizza and beer delivered directly to them. Updates have expanded this to include the delivery of a larger variety of food and beverage, with the use of QR codes.
Dining check-in functions have also been added, in addition to Your Time Dining features.
The app will also allow guests to virtually reserve seats for various venues onboard to ensure the seating is not above capacity by the time they arrive. Alerts will chime when it is time to arrive for the booked event.
Virtual queuing will also now be available with alerts letting the guest know when to take their physical place in line.
BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea will debut on the Mardi Gras when it sets sail next month. HUB can be used to reserve rides for the new and exciting Carnival offering.
Check-in for Carnival cruises can also be made via HUB, speeding up the embarkation process with guests able to upload new, necessary health info prior to arriving in the ship port.
Carnival’s Hub App, available in the Apple Store and Google Play Store has already had over 8 million total downloads and has proven popular prior to the pandemic sailing hiatus when checking in with youth programs and keeping track of booking details, reservations and guests’ onboard Sail & Sign accounts.
