Walt Disney World Resorts dropped a big update on the highly anticipated room refurbishments at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World. So far, we have only seen photos of the monorail stop at the resort torn down entirely and support beams going up for the new entrance Great Ceremonial House. Walt Disney World Resorts are giving the first look inside one of the reimagined rooms.
In the newly released photos of one of the reimagined guest rooms, Moana plays a huge role in the decor. There are details, textures, and patterns with hints of the Moana film through the guest rooms. Spaces also feature a new color palette inspired by the Pacific Ocean and its many islands. Look closely, and you will see Maui and Moana in the themed wallpaper on one wall and a Moana looking out a the sea with Pua, her little pig companion, on another wall.
The rooms also included all-new furnishings and fixtures. In the bathrooms, Disney Imagineers took inspiration from the sandy ocean floor for the tiles and carved details in the vanity. The colorful patterns in the rooms bring a new energy to the space, evoking undulating ocean waves and tropical flowers.
