Orange County Mayor Jerry Demmings Lifts Outdoor Mask Mandate

The mask mandate has been lifted in Orlando, Florida! Orange County Mayor Jerry Demmings just announced the lifting of the mandate that requires masks outdoors.

According to Demmings, the county reached a COVID vaccination rate of 50% of all adults age 16 and over today, which allows him to continue this next step in their phased plans. Face coverings are longer required outdoor but are still mandated indoors for everyone age two and older.

Following the news, Universal Orlando Resort changed its outdoor mask policy. Guests are no longer required to wear a mask outside in almost all circumstances. Walt Disney World has yet to announce a change to its mask policy.
What do you think of the change? Will you stop wearing your mask? Are you visiting Orlando this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
