Walt Disney World Lifts Outdoor Mask Policy Starting Tomorrow

The moment many people have been waiting for has arrived. Walt Disney World has lifted the policy requiring masks to be worn outdoors at their resorts and theme parks.

Following Orange County lifting its mask mandate on Friday, Walt Disney World announced that they would be changing their mask policy. Guests will no longer be required to wear a mask in outdoor areas at Disney Springs, resorts, and theme parks. Although, guests will be required to wear face masks when in indoor locations, inline for an attraction, and during the experience. All Disney transportation will also require guests to wear a face mask.

To clarify the new mask policy rules, Disney put out the following chart on where face coverings are required and optional.

Earlier in the day, Universal Studios Orlando announced that they would no longer require face coverings to be worn outside at their park and resorts. Similarly, all guests will be required to wear masks at indoor locations, indoor hotel public areas, and at all attractions.
