With more and more people vaccinated, traveling, and of course, visiting theme parks like Walt Disney World this summer, the lines are bound to get much longer. With the humidity and heat along with summer storms that are all too common in Central Florida, a lot of people can’t help but wonder if Disney will bring back their FastPass+ system. Here’s what you need to know.
FastPass+ Kiosks Update: Is Disney Ready To Turn The Lights On The Skip-The-Line Passes?
According to new reports, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the FastPass+ kiosks have been uncovered and turned on. However, Disney has remained rather quiet on whether or not they will bring back this skip-the-line feature in the near future.
According to Blog Mickey, one of the kiosks even had the FastPass+ starting page on, but it still doesn’t allow for any interaction. For now, all you can do is tap on the different languages or scan your MagicBand or MagicMobile pass.
When Disney opened its doors again last summer, FastPass was one of the guest benefits that did not return. The virtual queue system allows guests to avoid long lines at the attractions on which the system is installed, freeing them to partake of other attractions during their wait.
During normal operations, you can choose your FastPass or FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance of your visit—starting at 7:00 AM Eastern Time. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to check-in for the entire length of your stay.
Disney fans are still hoping that the return of FastPass+ will come sometime in the coming weeks. We’ll update you with all the latest news and details right here.
