In a bid to move back to some sort of pre-pandemic normalcy, Walt Disney World has announced that it’s bringing back attraction pre-shows. That’s great news for many travelers who are looking to make their way to the theme parks this summer, as wait lines are expected to increase along with park capacity.

Not only do fans have to worry about social distancing anymore (especially if they are already vaccinated), but they can also look forward to the entertainment that many attraction pre-shows bring throughout the parks. In fact, many Disney attractions have pre-shows. Some pre-shows are simply amusing versions of a safety warning while others just give guests a chuckle before the main event begins.

New reports say that many pre-show attractions have been restored. Distancing markers are gone, and guests must now watch the entire presentation before they move on to board the ride. The pre-show stretching room at the Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion along with Enchanted Tiki Room and Enchanted Tales with Belle. Over at Hollywood Studios, pre-shows at Rise of the Resistance, Tower of Tower, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Muppet Vision 3D, Star Tour are all back, too. At Animal Kingdom, you can catch a pre-show at Flight of Passage and DINOSAUR.

Now, as far as those wondering whether or not Fastpass will come back before the busy summer season, that remains to be seen. After Walt Disney World reopened its doors to a limited capacity last summer after a four-month closure because of the Covid-19 pandemic, FastPass was one of the guest benefits that did not return.

Many guests have even been asking about when the service will return, seeing how the park capacities are getting closer to pre-pandemic numbers. So far reps for the parks have not made any comments about it yet, but we will definitely update you with all of the latest details as they come in.
