As they say, this one is an oldie but a goodie! There’s good news as reports indicate that say Hollywood Studio’s Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular will soon be reopening again! Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! is based on many of the popular stunt scenes from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. The show uses various pyrotechnic devices which are incorporated into several of the stunts. Here’s what you need to know!
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular To Return To Hollywood Studios
The Indiana Jones show has been closed since March 2020, due to COVID-19 safety issues. But now it’s being reported that rehearsals are planned to start in mid-October, which means the show is coming back sooner than expected. According to Walt Disney World News, there’s a possibility that it will return this year or possibly in early 2022.
The show opened on August 25, 1989, as the first Indiana Jones attraction at a Disney park, and was put on a six-month hiatus in 2000 for refurbishing. It was also the first theme park attraction to use a computer-based show control system in conjunction with a custom-made programmable logic controller system to trigger, control, and sequence complex live events in real-time.
Meanwhile, Walt Disney World is prepping for its 50th anniversary celebration. Beginning October 1, Walt Disney World is embarking on an 18-month 50th anniversary celebration. To ring in its 50th jubilee, Disney World will be introducing new attractions, new merchandise, and brand new looks for the parks and their characters.
