Today’s “Once Upon A Wish” with Disney Park gave fans a full virtually unveiling of Disney Cruise Line’s new cruise ship, the Wish. Cruise Director Ashley Long revealed all the fantastic new ship’s details and announced that booking would open on May 27, 2021.
Here are all the details of the Disney Wish that were revealed during today’s special.
Updated Deck Experience
AQUAMOUSE is the first attraction at sea. They created a rich story line complete with show scenes, lighting, and special effects. The ride takes you into the animated world of animated Mickey Mouse shorts.
In the new original story Scuba Scramble, Mickey and Minnie have created their own excursions company called Port Misadventures in the new original story. They want you to be one of their first guests to Mermaid Lagoon. You will encounter lots of sea creatures and Disney characters along the way. The water ride spans 760 feet around the upper deck of the Wish.
Children can splash with Woody, Buzz and other characters at the new Toy Story Splash Zone.
Kids Areas
The Disney Wish will have a reimagined Disney’s Oceeneers Club & Lab. Kids will be able to slide in from the Grand Hall. Kids 3-12 will explore the creative world of Disney Imagineering, become part of their favorite fairytale stories, and train alongside Marvel superheroes.
Marvel Super Hero Academy will be on the ship, and hero’s like Spiderman, Black Panther, the Wasp, and Ant-Man will make an appearance. Children will be able to train alongside the hero’s, choose their hero suit, and put it on to the test.
In Fairytale Hall, young princes and princesses will find themselves in Rapunzel’s art studio, Belle’s Library and Ella and Anna’s summerhouse.
Kids will learn what is like to be an imagineer where they will take part in designing their own roller coaster and then riding it.
Entertainment
The forest inspires the new Disney Wish theatre design. The Disney Wish will have an updated Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular that has been updated exclusively for the new ship. There will also be two original shows, and Disney Cruise Line will reveal more details later.
Disney Wish has three brand new entertainment concepts for parents and children to join in on the fun. The main atrium has GrandHall Stage, where cruisers can gather for fun theatrical surprises during the day. The Luna, where fun evolves from day to night. Finally, the Hero zone where imagination meets active play. There will be more info on all these areas later in the year.
Adult Areas
Adult areas on Disney’s Wish have also been updated to offermore restaurants, lounges and quiet spaces than ever before.
Star Wars fans will love the new Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge. Guests board a luxury spaceship where they sip out of this world drinks as they traverse around the galaxy.
The Wish also offers adults exclusive dining experiences inspired by Beauty and the Beast. The Rose Lounge is a great place for before and after drinks.
Palo Steakhouse has also been reimagined and will feature authentic Italian dining with the refinement of a modern steakhouse.
A new fine dining restaurant will also be availabe. Enchante will be the most elegant dining experience aboard any of the Disney cruise ships and is inspired by Lumiere from Beauty & the Beast
Quiet Cove will be updated with an infinity pool and there will also be a Senses Spa.
Staterooms
Storybook staterooms will be brought to life through custom artwork and elegant details by Disney characters and stories such as Cinderella.
They have a luxurious feel, most have ocean views and designed with upscale amenities and great features for families.
Disney Wish is also expanding the concierge experience with more premium accommodations. The Disney Wish will feature the first two-story royal suite, a grand spiral staircase and stained glass artwork.
Dining Venues
Family restaurants will include three entirely new dining concepts.
In Arendelle A Frozen Dining Adventure, there will be a theatrical dining experience. Ella, Anna, Olaf, and Kristof, will take center stage to perform a musical celebration. The world-class food will be infused with Nordic influences.
Walt Disney’s legacy has inspired Disney’s Wish new restaurant, 1923 (the year Walt Disney Studios was created). The dining experience combines classic Hollywood elegance with a menu inspired by California’s fusion of flavors.
In World’s of Marvel, you will be transported into an Avengers technology showcase where you will play an interactive role in an action-packed mission that unfolds around you. This is the first-ever Marvel cinematic dining adventure.
Disney Cruise Line will reveal more details about the Disney Wish in the upcoming months if you want to sail the Wish bookings open on May 27, 2021.
