As everything moves full steam ahead with Royal Caribbean’s cruising relaunch the line is showing off how confident they feel about their impending comeback.
Royal’s Cruise with Confidence has extended its generous policy for bookings through July 31, 2021, on any cruise sailing up to April 30, 2022. The policy allows guests to cancel their trip up to 48 hours prior to sailing. Instead of losing down/full payment they will receive 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC). The FCC must be used toward a cruise that departs on or before September 30, 2022.
Cruise with Confidence also allows Royal Caribbean’s guests to take advantage of the line’s Best Price Guarantee. Up to 48-hours prior to sailing, if a guest finds a cheaper rate for their booked cruise, they will receive the difference as an onboard credit to use toward beverages, shore excursions or any food that has a cost etc.
This news of the Cruise with Confidence extension comes as the CDC approves Royal Caribbean to conduct test (non-revenue generating) cruises on board the Freedom of the Seas. Royal Caribbean is the first cruise line to receive CDC approval to conduct a test cruise out of Florida.
Freedom of the Seas’ simulated voyage will take place on June 20-22. Test cruises are a requirement if the cruise ship is prepared to sail with less than 95% vaccinated guests. Being that there is still contention in Florida in regards to mandating vaccines, the ships who perform test cruises may be the only ships able to sail from Floridian ports.
Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas will set sail from Nassau in the Bahamas and to the Caribbean in mid-June, avoiding the US CDC / Florida requirements all together.
To sail onboard the Adventure of the Seas, guests 16+ must be vaccinated. Under 16s will need a negative Covid test. Royal Caribbean is offering discounted flights to Nassau from many US airports.
