Walt Disney World Resort is asking guests of the All-Star Movies Resort to please pardon their pixie dust as work begins on updating the check-in experience, beginning July 12 and going through mid-October 2021.
Check-in services will still be available as Cinema Hall, the resort’s lobby undergoes refurbishment however using Online Check-In and Direct-to-Room service, available on the My Disney app will definitely save guests time.
Keeping in line with other Walt Disney Resort hotels, All-Star Movies’ Cinema Hall will receive an open concept updated with smaller desks doted throughout the lobby.
All-Star Movies only reopened its doors in March of 2021 after the pandemic shut down the Disney World parks and hotels. Suring it’s hiatus the budget friendly resort underwent refurbishment on its almost 2000 rooms. Similar to the transformation the Pop Century Resort went through a couple of years prior, the Those green and yellow walls and bright linens have given way to a more sleek and subdue design.
The resort is remaining open during the lobby’s construction and will still have a fully serviced
World Premiere Food Court and Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar. Donald’s Double Feature store will still be open for guest’s shipping needs and the playground, all pools, and poolside activities including Movies Under the Stars will remain open and accessible to all All-Star Movie’s guests.
Bus transportation is available from the Disney hotel, which lies south of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, to all four Disney World parks, Disney’s Blizzard Beach and the Disney Springs area.
At this time, Disney’s All-Star Movies is the only All-star hotel currently open. Disney’s All-Star Sports and All-Star Music Resort are both still closed, along with their amenities. Construction is due to start on All-Star Music as permits were applied for earlier this year.
