Universal Orlando Resort has updated its Covid-19 safety guidelines. Ever since the park reopened in June of last summer, it required guests to keep at least six feet apart from one another. Now, the park wants you to stay at least three feet away from other guests.

The new guidelines say,

“The guidelines now say “We encourage all guests to keep a safe distance between your travel party and others.”

Previously, guests were required to maintain a six-foot distance, then a three-foot distance from other parties.

What’s more, their guidelines also say that they are no longer limiting attendance at their theme parks, which might mean that they are planning to welcome more guests each day during their peak summer season.

The company also said that it will drop mask requirements for fully vaccinated guests but will also not ask for proof of vaccination but does expect visitors to comply. Starting this weekend, any guest who has reached the two-week mark from their last required vaccine dose is no longer required to cover up while on park grounds.

“While we will not require proof of vaccination, we do expect our guests to comply with this revised policy and to use face coverings if they have not been vaccinated,” a Universal Orlando spokesperson told the press in a statement.

Tell us, how you do feel about this? Are you planning any trips this summer? If so, will you be staying close to home, going on a cruise, or traveling internationally for the first time in a year?
