Anguilla Looking To Ease Quarantine Requirements For Visitors

While there are some parts of the world in which countries and states are tightening travel restrictions and considering new lockdown measures – like Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand – other parts want to bring their tourism industry back. In fact, there is a new report that says the Caribbean island of Anguilla is looking to ease their quarantine requirements for visitors. Here’s what you need to know.

Anguilla Looking To Ease Quarantine Requirements For Visitors

According to reports, Anguilla has decided to lift all quarantine requirements for international travelers, regardless of their length of stay. However, all visitors will best tested on arrival and must stay at their hotel or villa while awaiting their test results, which are usually delivered within 12 hours. Once they receive a negative test, they are free to leave their property. And while there is no longer a requirement to quarantine for four days, all visitors will be tested on the fourth day of their stay.

Anguilla, a British Overseas Territory in the Eastern Caribbean, comprises a small main island and several offshore islets. Its beaches range from long sandy stretches like Rendezvous Bay, overlooking neighboring Saint Martin island, to secluded coves reached by boat, such as at Little Bay. Anguilla is currently open for pre-approved travelers. You must submit your negative PCR test 3-5 days before arrival.

Tests that will not be accepted are:

Tests older than 5 days
Tests taken the day before, or two days before arrival
Rapid rt-PCR and Rapid Antigen tests
Home testing kits
Antibody tests
Self-taken swabs
A doctor’s cover letter. (ONLY official laboratory results are accepted)

The laboratory test result certificate MUST contain at least the following:

Name of individual tested
Date of birth
Name of testing laboratory
Date of test
Type of test (rt-PCR test)
Test result
Upload Proof of 3-5 Day Negative rt-PCR Test for ALL Applicants
