“If I Ran the Zoo” Reopens at Universal Studios

The rumours were right when it came to Universal Studios Orlando further opening some park features in the coming weeks. The latest park feature to reopen at Universal’s Island of Adventure is Seuss landing’s “If I ran the Zoo” area.  Guest were first able to take advantage of the play area this morning at the park. One thing to note, however, is that the slides are still unavailable for use.

All the Details

The play area underwent a short refurbishment, but it’s not the only area that has reopened recently in Universal Orlando. Just recently Camp Jurassic reopened in Jurassic Park. Physical distancing is still required at all of the reopened play areas and their is plenty of hand sanitizer stations available for guests.

Universal Studios describes, “If I ran the Zoo” as a wacky habitats filled with bizarre creatures in a fanciful play area inspired by Gerald McGrew and his extraordinary zoo of unusual animals from the farthest reaches. Children can catch the elusive Natch in a cave in Kartoom, ride a curious cow with multiple humps, or play a game on the belly of Tic Tac Joe.

Universal Studios Orlando Reopening News

In other, news Universal Studios Hollywood recently opened. As of yet, it is unclear if fully vaccinated out of state guest will be able to visit the park this summer. Universal Studios released this statement:

 

A spokesperson for Universal Studios said, “While visitation to our theme park is currently available to California residents only, we are assessing next steps to implement changes to previously released guidance and will share updated information when it becomes available.”
