Luxury Cruise Line, Seabourn the Latest to Make Home Port in the Caribbean.

Seabourn’s luxury cruises will begin operations again this July with the Seabourn Odyssey calling Bridgetown, Barbados it’s homeport.

With the CDC’s conditional sailing order stretching through April without any further future resolution, more and more lines are moving their homeports to countries where there is no such sailing ban. They are confident their cruisers, without any other options, will come to them.

New Itineraries

The Seabourn Odyssey will operate two different 7-day Caribbean itineraries from Barbados, calling into Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Maarten and St. Kitts. All crew on board will be vaccinated against Covid-19…and so will the guests.

These new Caribbean sailings from Barbados are open to any nationality passenger who is fully vaccinated, i.e., has completed their second dose (or first, in the case of Johnson & Johnson) a minimum of 14 days prior to embarkation. Proof of vaccination, including dates of inoculation will be required with documentation must be shown prior to embarkation.

More details, including shore leave/excursions will be provided by Seabourn in the coming weeks.

Seabourn Ovation in Greece

The Seabourn Ovation will also be heading back into operation with service resuming on July 3 from Piraeus (the port that services Athens, Greece). The Ovation will operate on 25 new 7 and 14 day itineraries in the Aegean Sea, calling into only Greek ports including the stunning islands of Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes. Again, guests must be vaccinated to board.

Bookings for both the Ovation and the Odyssey are open now and , upon exploring the Seabourn site, it appears the line is planning to roll out the rest of its six strong “small luxury ship” fleet in October with cruises in all pockets of the world; from Antarctica to Africa to Iceland to Asia and all destinations in between.
