Here’s What You Need To Know Before Visiting Argentina This Fall

Thankfully, the number of COVID-19 cases in Argentina is on the decline, allowing officials in the country to loosen up on its travel restrictions. Argentina’s health minister, Carla Vizzoti, said it’s time for the country’s tourism industry to get its much-needed boost again. She said, “We are in a very positive moment; we know that the pandemic has not ended; we have to maintain care.”

However, anyone entering Argentina must provide evidence that they are fully vaccinated. If you are unvaccinated, you will need to quarantine for seven days. Those who are considered fully vaccinated are anyone who has received their second dose at least 14 days before entering the country.

During its peak, Argentina had over 6 million tourists before the pandemic, according to the World Tourism Organization. It is also the first most visited country in South America and the second most visited of all of Latin America, after Mexico. It is also a country of natural and man-made wonders. From the glaciers and sky-scraping peaks of the Andes to the vineyards of Mendoza and the bustle of Buenos Aires, there’s so much to see in this South American destination.
