California’s Disneyland Releases New Ticket Prices Ahead Of April 30th Re-Opening

California’s Disneyland is getting ready to open its doors to visitors again, and the good news is that ticket prices aren’t rising for the first time in years. Disneyland released the ticket calendar just this last week for the first two months after the parks reopen on April 30. Here’s what you need to know.

California’s Disneyland Releases New Ticket Prices Ahead Of April 30th Re-Opening

California’s Disneyland’s doors were shuttered for almost 13 months because of the multiple lockdowns and strict quarantine measures in the Golden State ever since the global pandemic that has been the coronavirus began during the first quarter of 2020. Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida reopened their doors to visitors back in July of 2020 after only being shut down for a few short months. The theme park has since been opened with limited capacity but also without any Covid-19 guest breakouts.

In order to enjoy all of the fun again, reservations will be required to visit Disneyland and DCA once both parks reopen with limited capacity. Visitors will need to purchase theme park tickets before making a reservation. California theme parks will be required to limit admission to in-state residents for the time being. Walt Disney World in Orlando, meanwhile, has opened their theme parks to guests from all parts of the country.

So far, the two most popular dates on the Disneyland calendar will be April 30, when the parks reopen, and June 4, when Avengers Campus debuts at DCA. Fastpass, MaxPass and single rider options — all alternatives to bypassing the normally long lines at some of the most popular attractions — have each been temporarily suspended. For guests staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hour offerings are on pause.

The current ticket prices for Disneyland are:

  • Tier 5 Tickets
  • One-Day/Single-Park: $154
  • One-Day Park Hopper: $209
  • Tier 4 Tickets
  • One-Day/Single-Park: $139
  • One-Day Park Hopper: $194
  • Tier 3 Tickets
  • One-Day/Single-Park: $124
  • One-Day Park Hopper: $179
  • Tier 2 Tickets
  • One-Day/Single-Park: $114:
  • One-Day Park Hopper: $169
  • Tier 1 Tickets
  • One-Day/Single-Park: $104
  • One-Day Park Hopper: $159

It’s also been noted that advanced online reservations begins April 12 for visitors with previously purchased tickets. To comply with attendance limits a new system will be in place that requires guests ages 3 and older to obtain a reservation in advance to enter either theme park, in addition to having a ticket.

With that said though, former Disneyland annual passholders in California have already complained about the lack of priority ticket access for the parks.
