Carnival Gives Three Month Restart Update and Reveals Continual Rollout into Early 2022

5 Reasons Why A Carnival Cruise Is Educational For Kids
Carnival Cruise Line
president Christine Duffy is updating cruise fans on the three months since Carnival has resumed operations, and announced that guests can expect the full rollout of the Carnival fleet to take until at least spring 2022.

Carnival’s post-pandemic sailing ban restart began on July 3 this year when the Carnival Vista set sail from Galveston. Since July, 10 additional ships- almost half the Carnival U.S.-based fleet- have resumed service carrying almost 250,000 guests on 98 voyages from homeports along the East and West Coasts of the U.S. and the Gulf of Mexico.

Duffy released further fun facts and milestones, saying that since the Vista embarked on its first 2021 voyage, Carnival’s guests have devoured nearly half a million Guy Fieri burgers, sank around 608,000 beers, and enjoyed 11,000 adrenaline-fueled rides on BOLT.”

BOLT is the first ‘roller coaster at sea’ featuring on the brand new Mardi Gras that made its debut at the end of July.

However, the recommencement of cruising is more than just beer, burgers, and roller coaster rides.

“Our resumption of service has provided much-needed vacations to hundreds of thousands of loyal guests, a boost to the economies in its homeport and port-of-call communities, and opportunities for its shipboard team members to support their families in 120 countries around the world,” Duffy continued before outlining the future roll out plan.

Six more Carnival ships will relaunch in 2021, with additional ships joining those 17 vessels in January and February.

Duffy finished by thanking their guests, travel agents, and port and destination partners for their support and patience and assures that the line, once known as the Fun Ships plans to have “the entire U.S. fleet back in guest operations by spring 2022.”

Carnival’s operations are currently utilizing 7 U.S. homeports, more than any other cruise line, and will soon be operating from 9 across the country: Galveston, Miami, Canaveral, New Orleans, Baltimore, Long Beach, Tampa, Mobile, and Charleston

Carnival Legend in SydneyIn addition, Carnival Splendor and Carnival Spirit are still planning to call Australia (Brisbane and Sydney) home in 2022, however, their cruises have been canceled through February with Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison’s recent announcement that opening their borders doesn’t necessarily mean welcoming tourists back to the country just yet.
