Turkey is making things a little bit more easier for travelers that can prove that they’ve gotten vaccinated from Covid-19. There’s a new report that says Turkey removed their PCR testing requirement for those who can show proof of being fully vaccinated. Bring on those Turkish baths (and really good Turkish coffees)!

Turkey Is Making Travel A Little Easier For Vaccinated Travelers

Turkey has been one of the few countries that have allowed non-essential travel, as long as travelers could show proof of a negative PCR test. The country has also been one of the few from around the world that has managed to bring down case numbers and avoid a third wave. As of press time, the number of daily cases fell below 7,000 this week.

Currently, the U.S. travel advisory has given Turkey a Level 4: Do Not Travel. And that’s not only because of Covid-19, but also because of the possibility that terrorist groups may or will continue to plot attacks in Turkey. The U.S. government advises against travel to Turkey because terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, local government facilities, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, major sporting and cultural events, educational institutions, airports, and other public areas.

Meanwhile, the new vaccination exemption applies to almost all countries worldwide but there are some exceptions. The highest-risk countries include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. Medium risk countries are the United Kingdom, Iran, Egypt and Singapore.

With that said, almost all countries worldwide can visit Turkey, as long as they provide a 72-hour negative PCR test or proof of vaccination.
