Disney Cruise Line Update: Here’s What You Need To Know About ‘Very Merrytime Cruises’

According to reports, beginning in November and through the month of December, the cruise line will transform its ships to celebrate “Very Merrytime Cruises.” Holiday-themed decor and Disney characters decked out in their holiday best will welcome guests while a special visit from Santa Claus himself is sure to delight guests of all ages on board.

Disney Parks Blog recently shared some information on the very merry fun for this year. A statement from the company says: “From early November through December, the Disney Cruise Line fleet is decked from bow-to-stern with holiday cheer and entertainment during Very Merrytime Cruises. Holiday magic is unwrapped for the whole family with festive holiday decor, favorite characters in their finest holiday attire and a special visit from none other than Santa Claus.”

Very Merrytime Cruises will be available on the Disney Magic, Disney Dream, Disney Wonder, and Disney Fantasy this Christmas. In addition, the Disney Wish will also offer Christmas itineraries when it is set to sail next year.

Meanwhile, Disney CEO Bob Chapek has confirmed the company’s plans for a second private island. Chapek said that a second island destination with three new ships is in the works. Dubbed Lighthouse Point, the private island would operate in the same way that Disney’s Bahamian island destination Castaway Cay has.

The Lighthouse Point location was first announced in 2019 at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. We will update you with all of the latest details as they come in.
