August will be a busy month for Disney’s entertainment cast members as four favorite entertainment experiences are returning to the Walt Disney World Resort parks.
Starting with August 1, the “Wonderful World of Animation” is returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Taking guests on a magical journey through 9 decades of Disney animation and magic, the nighttime experience uses cutting-edge projection mapping technology, transforming the iconic Chinese Theater into a giant cinematic canvas.
A week later, guests at Magic Kingdom will be able to laugh along with the “monsters of comedy” in Monstropolis when Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor reopens. This is perfect timing seeing as the new “Monsters at Work” series on Disney+ has recently premiered.
The very next Sunday, August 15, the tale as old as time will return, live on stage at Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios. This feast for the eyes will twirl its way back into Disney fans’ hearts with all the Beauty and the Beast favorites- costumes, sets, and of course, the music you know and love.
Rounding out August’s entertainment extravaganza is Turtle Talk with Crush. Those visiting The Seas with Nemo & Friends will be able to get all their pressing questions answered by the enigmatic sea turtle.
With all these new entertainment options becoming available, August looks to be an exciting month to visit the parks. It’s also perfect timing to say goodbye as two fireworks shows “before they sparkle into Disney history” forever.
“EPCOT Forever” will conclude its limited run on September 28, and the very next day you and the family can bid farewell to “Happily Ever After” at Magic Kingdom.
The two firework displays will be replaced by Harmonious and Disney Enchantment, both debuting on October 1st, heralding the start of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” – the long awaited 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.
