Disney Cruise Line has revealed its itineraries for 2022 and, in doing so, have confirmed the Disney Dream will find its home in Port Canaveral for the first half of the year. The Dream will be offering three and four night cruises to Bahamas stopping at both Nassau and Disney’s private Island, Castaway Cay.
A couple of The Dream’s Bahamian four day cruises will make two stops at the private island, next to Grand Abaco. Calling in to a private island multiple times during a cruise has become a new occurrence that several cruise lines are adding to their itineraries.
This not only makes it easier for guests to enjoy shore leave without being confined to shore excursions, it keeps everyone – crew, guests and citizens of the Caribbean and Bahamas much safer during these pandemic times.
As of June, The Disney Wish will make her debut, moving into Port Canaveral. At this time The Dream will reposition to PortMiami.
From Miami the Dream will continue cruising three and four night voyages to Nassau and Castaway Cay and mix this up with five night Caribbean Cruises. Each of the five night cruises will continue calling into Castaway Cay and either Cozumel, Mexico or Grand Cayman.
September and October will see the Dream continue to offer the same Miami initiated itineraries but with Disney’s Halloween on the High Seas theme, the Disney Dream will become a Disney (not so) Nightmare “packed with haunted tricks and fun-filled treats for the entire family.”
The spook-tacular experience is touted to offer “not-so-scary activities, eerie entertainment and bewitching décor, including a spooky Halloween tree.”
Depending on which Halloween on the High Seas cruise a guest embarks upon, they may be in for Mickey’s Mouse-querade, a scare-a-bration alive with ghoulish fun with everyone’s favorite Disney friends, bedecked in their best Halloween attire. Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream is a “Season’s Screamings” that guest may experience, a type of interactive movie experience that involves an appearance by Jack and Sally. The Dream will offer Halloween Activities, like frightfully fun crafts for the entire family and spooky treats- unique Halloween-themed desserts, beverages and more!
As of November and until the new year the itineraries will continue to offer the four and five night itineraries from Miami, with the theme moving from the thrills and chills of Halloween to the delight of Christmas, offering a winter wonderland of holiday magic with their Very Merrytime cruises complete with a giant gingerbread house and a 24-foot-tall Christmas tree!
It sounds like a Disney Dream, indeed!
