New Cruiser Restaurant Interior Concept Art for Walt Disney World’s Galactic Starcruiser Hotel

The opening of Disney’s Galactic Starcruiser Hotel is Getting Closer!

As if the excitement wasn’t already sky(walker) high, The Art of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge book released this week shows more, unseen concept art for the highly anticipated Galactic Starcruiser Hotel at Walt Disney World Resort.

It was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…okay, it was 2017 in Orlando that the first survey went out, asking guests their level of interest in a Star Wars themed hotel. Obviously, with the legions of Star Wars fans out there, it was a go.

More Concept Art Released

Now, as the hotel inches closer to completion each day, these Star Wars fanatics are privy to yet another artist rendering, this time of the Cruiser Restaurant Interior. Described by Imagineers as being inspired by luxury cruise ships, we can only imagine the Max Rebo band entertaining at night! Just watch out for a hidden Rancor pit.

So, what can guests expect from the rest of this first of its kind hotel experience?

Previously released artist renderings illustrate how the Galactic Starcruiser Hotel will invite guests for a two day/two night experience to discover their own Star Wars story.

Touted as a “Westworld for Star Wars fans”, this immersive encounter sees guests start their intergalactic adventure by arriving in a terminal before being ushered to the launchpad to be blasted off into space. Peering through the window overhead, guests will finally lay eyes on the Halcyon, their starcruiser for the next two days.

Once their capsule docks at the Halcyon, guests will be invited into the cruiser’s atrium where droids and other creatures from the Star Wars galaxy will be ready to greet and usher the cruisers to their cabins, all with a window to gaze out at the deep space surrounding them.

Between lightsaber training, exploring the space craft’s bridge and engine room, embarking on personalized secret missions and relaxing at the Silver C Lounge, guests will also take a transporter to Batuu for a planet excursion, visiting the Black Spire Outpost at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Aerial views taken in late 2020 show how close the hotel is to welcoming guests and, though there is no set opening date and no way to book your galactic cruise just yet, we continue to await further pictures, hopefully soon actual photos of Disney’s newest out of this world offering.
